Du Cane opens Saudi office

March 2011 - Du Cane Associates has expanded its operations overseas for the first time with the opening of an office in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

This moves coincides with the appointment of Jamal Al Guwaifli as CEO - Middle East. Jamal will lead Du Cane's operations in the region.

Du Cane have been providing consultancy support to Saudi Arabia for some time and the establishment of a local presence and appointment of a CEO for the Middle East are logical steps towards expanding operations in the Middle East and North Africa.

Commenting on the announcement, Du Cane founder Peter Lloyd said: "This is the first new office to be opened by Du Cane since our establishment in 2009. Although we have partners in other countries, with the support we provide on international trade consultancy, I guess there was always a possibility of expansion overseas ourselves but this had to be in the right place with the right team at the right time. There links between Saudi Arabia and the UK are as strong today as ever and the move into KSA is a very exciting development for us. I am also absolutely delighted that we have been able to persuade someone of the calibre of Jamal to head our operations in the region".

Mr Al Guwaifli brings a wealth of experience to Du Cane. After a long and successful career in senior HR positions within the Saudi financial sector, Jamal ran his own Management Consulting company JAG MC which provided solutions in the fields of HR services, Outsourcing and Consultancy to the Saudi corporate sector.
